Cologne, Germany

Spring 2019

Following my studies in France, I spent my spring break traveling other parts of Europe to look at notable architecture and city planning. Cologne’s eclectic scheme of city planning is unique due to the effort to rebuild following most of the city’s destruction during WWII. The city, in its current state, juxtaposes the old and new architecture, boasting various Gothic, Neo-Romanesque and modernist architecture as well as being home to many famous works of art studied all over the globe.
