Florence, Italy
Summer 2019
Upon completion of the Propositions studio, I had the opportunity to enroll in the Spring Travel Course, Scenography and Statecraft, lead by Brittany Utting and Daniel Jacobs and investigated architecture’s participation in the geopolitical scenography of the Italian Peninsula. In Florence, we saw the palazzos of the city-state to study the relationship of power, patronage, and architectural agency in Medieval and Renaissance Italy.
