Fall 2016
At Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning, every fall semester consists of a one-week long Field Trip week to allow students to travel with their professors and explore the way architecture manifests itself in places all over the country. Here I began to analyze and understand community and cultural identity exploring the various districts within the city, while also visiting Oakland and Berkeley, having private tours of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Pyatok Architects, the Cathedral of Christ the Light, and various public works which have a unique nature to their time and place. I later revisited the Bay Area during my studies at the University of Michigan, looking at the future of work and its architectural impacts on urbanity.
